The next important issue that should be addressed is the visibility factor. I’ve been working remotely for some time, and I also work with other people who work remotely. The thing that happens often is that it’s very comfortable to stay unnoticed. This creates a lot of distance between the remote workers and the rest of the team and can hinder progress.

If you’re working remotely you probably enjoy the daily schedule you have fixed for yourself. One of the reasons people choose to work remotely is that they don’t like the nine-to-five work schedule and choose to have little breaks throughout the day. Because of this, it’s important to clearly communicate to your team members on chat if you’re leaving for a while and when you’ll be back. People tend to skip that, which can get nasty in situations where someone is dependent on you.
